Don't understand a bad rating for these speakers. I play my iTunes music on these speakers and great sound. Deep tone.

Nice size but has a ground noise. 3/22/2012 Mark from Fort Worth, TX
The speakers sit close to me and there is a open ground. Other than that, they are decent little speakers.

Don't waste your time and money 12/20/2011
Do not buy this product. Very cheap quality and the sound is no good even when connected to Itouch. False advertising it is no Home Theater product.

Good for Small Home Theater or Computer System 6/24/2011
I purchased these for a bedroom LCD TV system. They speaker in the TV is pretty lousy, so getting better quality sound wasn't going to take a lot. At this price I figured it was worth the shot, and I'm glad I took it.
I'm not an audio expert, but I do know that the way manufacturers divide up the wattage output can be confusing. Remember that the 250w is divided between the 3 speakers. Also remember, that increasing wattage is not simply about a number. To double the sound on a TV speaker, which is typically 5 watts, you'd have to go 10x the actual wattage. So, jumping to 50 watts per speaker can effectively double your sound without blowing out the speaker -- assuming the amplifier can handle the output.
That's why having a powered speaker system is important. It reduces the draw of power to the tv and puts it in the speaker system.
In short, this is a decent system for a small room with a regular LCD type TV. In my case, it runs with a 23" Vizio TV in a 10x12 foot room, and that is sufficient for a guest or child.

Not what you pay for. (250watts) 5/20/2011 Dj Big Vic from Willimantic, CT.
In the advertisment it says 250 watts when it really has less then 22 watts. I bought this to replace my Altec Lansing 22 watts 2.1 system that i payed $19 dollars for. This is not even close to being as loud as my Altec Lansing system and it's double the money. If you are expecting a somewhat loud speaker system or (250 watts) of power. This is not the one.
